  • Rev Hilary is amazing! She is so warm and gracious. The whole congregation is a welcoming community which is something I was searching for.

  • This "church" is a community that draws insight from all faith traditions, western, eastern, earth-centered and otherwise. It is enriched by the participation of its members and guests. Countryside is a truly enlightening, uplifting place to explore religion without someone telling you what you have to believe. I can be myself there, speak my mind, ask my questions, and explore my faith AND my doubts! This congregation's covenant reads: "We unite to strengthen the bonds of kinship among all persons; to promote human dignity and increase reverence for life's creating, sustaining and transforming power through worship, study and service." This works for me!

Countryside is a welcoming congregation. Come as you are and find acceptance and a community to share your journey. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person. This means that you can find a home here regardless of your lifestyle or belief (or lack thereof). Here you will find friendship and community--people who are truly interested in learning from each other with open minds, loving hearts, and helping hands.

  • "It is only when we forget all our learning that we begin to know." -Henry David Thoreau *************************************

Countryside is where I discovered that my mind and my spirituality do not have to have separate residences. If you expect someone to just tell you the meaning of life, this is not the place for you. But if you want great company as you explore your theology, then you will find many kindred spirits who will walk that path with you here. For me, faith, science, art, all come together here. Our first of seven principals states. "We respect the inherent worth and dignity of every person." I felt that respect immediately fourteen years ago when I came through the door of Countryside, and I still feel it today. It is a place to grow in mind and spirit.
